It’s always like this right? Big spend coming up, and stuff around the house needs fixing, thus requiring more spend. Nothing can just be replaced, there’s always underlying problems that only appear when the surface problem is removed.
Granted I’ve lived in this house longer than I’ve lived anywhere. It’s the house that I ‘grew up’ in so to speak. I became who I am today, while living in this house. But it’s just a house. Just an object that protects me from the environment so I can rest and store all my crap. It’s familiar, therefore it’s comfortable. But if I came home from work one day and it was burnt to the ground, there’s really only 2 or 3 things in it that I’d be upset about losing. Like really upset about.
It’s just stuff, and it’s just an object. The familiarity of it would make it hard to let it go, but I think I could do it.
